Leicester City team news

Goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk will be out for up to six months after sustaining an injury during pre-season training. The 23-year-old has damaged his ankle and has undergone surgery which will keep him out until January.

Stolarczyk made nine appearances for the Foxes last season, so against Fulham, Mads Hermansen started with Danny Ward acting as back-up. Ward played against Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night.

Striker Patson Daka is out for the next few months after suffering an injury against Lens in pre-season. Daka suffered an ankle injury and has undergone surgery, which will put him out until at least the start of November.

Tom Cannon is the subject of transfer interest from several Championship teams and could leave the King Power Arena before Friday’s transfer deadline. He has been omitted from the last two squads, with several teams chasing his signature.

Conor Coady made an 18-minute appearance off the bench against Tranmere on Tuesday and acted as his first game of the season. The 31-year-old will be pushing to be a part of the match-day squad.

Out: Jakub Stolarczyk and Patson Daka. Doubt: Tom Cannon.

Centre-back Tyrone Mings has been out for a year after suffering an ACL injury against Newcastle United in the first league game of last season. Mings has since returned to training, but is still working on his own away from his teammates, but is feeling 'very good'.

Boubacar Kamara suffered a serious knee injury in February which forced him to miss EURO 2024 with France, but he could make a return to training in the coming weeks.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Arsenal, Unai Emery said: " [Boubacar] is progressing a lot…And, more or less, in a few weeks, he will start training with us."

“[Tyrone] is close to starting to do something with the team. Now he’s working alone but he’s feeling very good.”

Out: Boubacar Kamara, Matty Cash and Tyrone Mings.
