Fabrizio Romano confirms €8m Aston Villa star in transfer talks just 58 days after arrival
According to Matteo Moretto, a journalist for Relevo, Barrenchea is wanted by the La Liga outfit, and several other clubs. Barrenchea's preference according to Moretto is a move to the Mestalla Stadium, and Valencia are in a good position with Villa over a loan deal. Moretto was given the Fabrizio Romano seal of approval, who confirmed that Villa were in talks with Valencia.

Hide AdNews of Valencia’s interest comes after Nicolo Schira said in a Twitter post on Monday that two Serie A sides were willing to offer Barrenchea a return to Italy. Argentine-born Barrenechea has so far played in Switzerland and Italy, and he is now in line to get a taste the Spanish top-flight.
The 23-year-old has only been with Villa for 58 days, but it seems he does not feature in their immediate plans. He joined in a deal that could be worth up to €11m, having joined for €8m plus €3m in add-ons in a deal that was part of Douglas Luiz's move to Juventus.
Barrenechea has not been included in any of the squads for Villa's opening two Premier League games against West Ham and Arsenal. He was left out because the competition for places has been so high, with Amadou Onana and Youri Tielemans the preferred centre midfield partnership.

Hide AdThe Argentine midfielder arrived at the same time from Juventus as Samuel Iling-Junior and he has since departed on loan. Iling-Junior opted to return to Italy and has signed for Bologna. The deal does not include an option to buy, and so the 20-year-old will return to Villa Park at the end of the campaign.
Bologna finished fifth in Serie A last season, and so Iling-Junior could have the opportunity to mplay in the UEFA Champions League. He could make his debut for his new side at the weekend when Bologna host Empoli at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
