Luis Sinisterra saw red after a second bookable offence just three minutes into the second half. The winger didn’t take enough yards for a Villa’s free-kick resulting in a second yellow card and his dismissal.
Villa was without Boubacar Kamara and Lucas Digne, the former sustained a knee injury against Southampton last time out, while the latter sustained an ankle problem on international duty for France.

The Villans will be frustrated to not come away with all three points on the road given the amount of chances created.
They put in a solid defensive display as well, leading to the Whites’ having just one shot on target over 90 minutes.

The result gives Villa their first point away from home this campaign and is their second game with back-to-back clean sheets.
Who wasn’t involved?
Matty Cash joined Kamara and Digne in the absentees list, while Diego Carlos remained unavailable due to a long-term injury.

The 28-year-old arrived on a season-long loan from Sevilla in the summer with Villa having an option to buy him at the end of the season.
Jesse Marsch ban
Leeds was without manager Jesse Marsch in the dugout after he received a one-match ban following his breach of the FA’s Rule E3 in the match against Brentford.
The American also received a £10,000 fine for his behaviour and language used after his team weren’t awarded a penalty against the Bees.
