Unai Emery and Kieran McKenna have named their lineups for Ipswich Town vs Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Emery has decided to persist with Ezri Konsa at right-back, with Diego Carlos and Pau Torres the centre-back partnering, and Lucas Digne covering at left-back. Carlos was a doubt after pulling out against Wycombe Wanderers in the warm-up on Tuesday, but he’s recovered in time, and has been given a start.

Captain John McGinn misses out due to injury and so Leon Bailey comes in to replace him. In Villa’s line-up graphic, the identity of the captain has not been revealed yet, but the responsibility usually goes to goalkeeper Emi Martinez.

Two players; Emi Martinez and Lucas Digne celebrate landmark appearances. Martinez is making his 150th Premier League appearance for Villa, whilst Digne has now reached his 100th game in the Claret & Blue.

The only players that survive from the 2-1 win against Wycombe Wanderers in midweek are Amadou Onana and Leon Bailey. From Villa's last Premier League match, which was a 3-1 win against Wolves, Bailey replacing McGinn is the only change.

Jaden Philogene is among the substitute's having missed the last four games with a knock. The 22-year-old came on as a substitute in the middle of September against Everton, and provides Emery with an attacking option.

Jhon Duran retains his position as a super sub, despite scoring against Wycombe Wanderers in the week. The Colombian boasts one of the best goals-to-games ratio, having bagged four goals in just 131 minutes of league action.

Kalvin Phillips is fit again and replaces Jens Cajuste who isn't in the match day squad, whilst Jack Clarke is given his first league start as he replaces Sammie Szmodics. Chieodozie Ogbene replaces Wes Burns on the right, with Burns' compatriot Nathan Broadhead not in the squad despite recovering from injury.
