Aston Villa are expected to become an Adidas Elite team from 2025/26, introducing several new benefits.

The Villans will reportedly be added as one of Adidas’ elite clubs from the start of next season.

Villa are enjoying the start of their new era under Adidas after a multi-year agreement was struck to replace the previous kit manufacturer, Castore. The decision to introduce the iconic three stripes to all three shirts this season has gone down very well with supporters and now another change can be expected.

If Villa do indeed join the Adidas ‘elite’ club, they will be greeted by current members Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal. The main change will be the addition of the Trefoil logo to the third shirt next campaign, something only the other six clubs have had the honour of representing this term.

Other benefits include a closer general working relationship with Adidas, preferential advertising treatment on a global scale, more customised products and better access to Villa merchandise in every continent. This will come as good news to supporters who don’t live in the ‘west’ as authentic kits will be more readily available.

Villa’s partnership with Adidas developing is excellent news for the club financially as revenue will become more widespread and consistent. It also represents the recent on-field steps made under Unai Emery, notably the venture into this season’s Champions League.

Qualifying for Europe’s elite competition next season is the priority as it’d help maintain and increase Villa’s soaring reputation. It would likely attract more sponsorship agreements, too, securing extra revenue for transfers and the day-to-day running of the football club.
