Aston Villa’s last 10 opening day Premier League results as 24/25 season begins at West Ham

Aston Villa's 2024/25 Premier League fixture schedule is out and they will begin the new campaign away at West Ham United.
It's the battle of the Spaniards as Julen Lopetegui takes control of his first competitive game of the Hammers, where he will take on another former Sevilla manager in Unai Emery. West Ham have pressure to qualify for Europe after parting ways with David Moyes whilst Villa will want to retain their place in the top four.

Their opening day record is sketchy with five defeats, four wins and a draw. Villa have lost on the opening day on their last three attempts and last year suffered a thumping 5-1 defeat to Newcastle United.
Here's Villa's record over the last 10 seasons as we take a trip down memory lane. Are you excited to be heading to the London Stadium in mid-August?
