Aston Villa’s 2022/23 campaign gets underway soon, with Steven Gerrard’s men facing a trip to newly promoted AFC Bournemouth.

Villa had a mixed bag of a season last year, and perhaps fell short of many people’s expectations.

For Gerrard’s first full season in charge at Villa Park, they will be hoping to get off to a fast start.

Their opponents AFC Bournemouth will be looking to make a name for themselves early on, and remind the Premier League that they aren’t just back to make the numbers up.

Is the game on TV?

Unfortunately due to broadcasting rules, the match on the south coast will not be shown live on TV.

Where can I watch highlights?

Highlights of Villa’s trip to Dorset will be available to watch from 5.15pm on Saturday for Sky Sports customers via the Sky Sports App.

Highlights will also be available on BBC One on Match of The Day which begins at 10.20pm on Saturday, 6 August.
