West Bromwich: Man in life threatening condition after lorry collides with stationary car

A man is in life-threatening condition after a lorry is understood to have collided with a stationary car in West Bromwich.

The 36-year-old man was seriously hurt in a collision on the Black Country New Road just after 6pm on 31 August, according to West Midlands Police. He was out of the stationary car which had the bonnet raised when the lorry collided with it.

The 36-year-old man remains in hospital. The driver of the lorry remained at the scene and is helping with police enquiries.

The road has re-opened but the police are continuing the investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
