Storm Eowyn rail chaos: Trains cancelled or delayed across the Midlands, overhead wires damaged and trees down

There are issues on the rail network across the entire Midlands as Storm Eowyn sweeps in from fallen trees to damaged overhead wires.
No trains are running north of Preston today due to the wild winds.

Hide AdDue to damage to the overhead wires between Wolverhampton - Stafford, all lines are currently blocked.
Services will be diverted where possible. Where not possible, services will be cancelled. More information can be found here.
London Northwestern Railway said rail replacement transport has been ordered.
Avanti West Coast said due to fallen trees in multiple locations on the network, the lines between Wolverhampton and Stafford and between Chester and Holyhead are blocked.

There are no trains operating north of Preston today. Check your journey here.
In the East Midlands, there is a tree blocking the railway between Derby and Chesterfield, affecting trains on the London St Pancras/Nottingham/Sheffield route.
