A Birmingham infants & junior school has been hit by severe flooding after heavy downpours

St Laurence Infants & Junior School in Northfield was today (Friday) closed due to the devastation caused by the flood water.

Footage taken by Emma Moland shows water flooding into the site on Bunbury Road.

Staff at the school are appealing for dehumidifiers to borrow in their efforts to clean-up.

The school was one of several closed due to floods.

Heavy downpours hit the city as a 12-hour amber weather warning was issued overnight into Friday.
