'UK's only female visibility agency' based in Birmingham closes after 13 years in business

A Birmingham PR firm has closed after 13 years in business.
East Village, which was founded in October 2013 and located in the city’s famous Jewellery Quarter, was dubbed the “UK's only female visibility agency” which helped clients gain press coverage, conduct product launches, launch personal brands and speaking on stages.
Founder and managing director Tara Attfield-Tomes announced the decision to close the business on LinkedIn on Tuesday (October 20) stating that it had been a difficult few years of trading.

She wrote: “After 13 years, and a difficult few years of trading for agencies like ours, I’ve made the decision to close East Village.
“It wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s the right one. I’m incredibly proud of what we built: the campaigns, the stories we told, and the clients who trusted us with their brands along the way.
“Thank you to every one of them, and to the collaborators, partners and friends who championed the agency. Most of all, thank you to the incredible team.
“They’re some of the most talented and passionate people I’ve ever worked with, and they’ll be an asset wherever they go next.”
Tara asked that anyone who is hiring in the PR sector to contact her or members of the East Village team directly, tagging five team members in the post.
