Birmingham Airport flight cancellations & delays as West Midlands is hit by strong winds

A yellow weather warning has been issued for strong winds across Birmingham and the West Midlands on Monday (April 15).
The warning comes as flights at Birmingham Airport have been cancelled and delayed this morning amid the windy conditions.

Hide AdPassengers at the airport have also reported being stuck in long security queues over the last 24 hours as the airport gets busier during the spring months.
Which flights have been cancelled at Birmingham Airport?
On Monday, April 15, the 9.15am Klm Royal Dutch Airlines flight from Birmingham International to Amsterdam was cancelled. The 5.40pm KL 1048 Klm Royal Dutch Airlines flight from Birmingham to Amsterdam has also been cancelled.
The 2.55pm Doha Hamad flight from to Qatar from Birmingham has also been delayed, and is now expected to depart at 3.20pm. The 1pm Birmingham to Frankfurt LH 955 flight has also been delayed by 40 minutes.


What is the weather forecast for Birmingham?
Wind gusts of around 38mph are expected in Birmingham at 2pm on Monday, April 15, with strong winds throughout the day. Gusts of up to 39mph are also expected in the evening.

Wind gusts of up to 33mph can be expected during the early hours of Tuesday morning, although the it’s expected to die down as we head into Tuesday, where you can also expect sunny intervals.
