The front door of a TUI Boeing 787 plane that was parked at a gate at Birmingham Airport was almost 'ripped off' on Tuesday (Febraury 20).

Pictures have emerged of the damaged plane door, which was almost ripped off its hinges, after coming into contact with mobile air stairs while it was parked, according to reports. Photos were posted on Twitter, which you can see below, showing the damaged door of the aircraft.

The extent of the damage is currently unclear, with no timeframe on how long the long it will take to fix the aircraft. No passengers or airline crew were on-board the plane at the time. The flight was reportedly a positioning flight that was planned to fly to Bristol - meaning no passengers would have been on-board.
