Jack Grealish is now a Champions League winner. After winning the Premier League and FA cup within the last month, Grealish has had a lot to celebrate.

Saturday night’s (10 June) victory over Inter Milan saw Manchester City become the second team to ever complete the treble (Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League). A stunning strike from Rodri and a textbook effort between the sticks from Ederson saw City become champions of Europe for the first time, as well as securing the treble.

After the historic win in Istanbul, Grealish was tearful in an interview with BT Sport, and stated: “It’s what you work your whole life for isn’t it. I’m just so happy, man.”

As the on-pitch celebrations died down, Grealish walked to the tunnel to begin a night of more celebrating. Before entering the tunnel, he was intercepted by a fan, who gestured for Jack to hand over his match worn shirt.

The Solihull-born star appeared almost insulted by the request, as he shook his head, visibly confused, before sharing a laugh with a Manchester City staff member. A video posted to TikTok by @kicktmet captured the moment.

Although Grealish has given away his match-worn shirts on previous occasions, he likely wanted to keep this one as a memento of his and Man City’s historic season. Football fans empathised with the winger’s confusion in the comments.

One user’s comment amassed over 16,000 likes, which read: “He won city’s and his first champions league in that shirt. Obviously he’s not giving it away”. Another user added: “This guy shamelessly just asked a player to give him his full 90 minute match worn first ucl and treble winner shirt 😂”. A third TikTok user showed respect to the ambitious fan, and said: “Was worth a shot tbf, don’t ask, don't get”.

Jack Grealish was captured partying in the shirt the next morning at 6am, proving his evident but understandable attachment to it. Jack and Erling Haaland danced joyfully above a crowd of adoring fans.
