A new Asda Express store opened in Edgbaston on Tuesday, Febrauary 13.
The new stadalone Asda Express store opened at 573 Pershore Road. It's one of three Asda Express stores set to open in the city this month. The second Birmingham store is opening today (Thursday, Febraury 15) on Stratford Road, in Sparkhill and the third will open at Powick Road in Erdington on Friday, February 23.

Hide AdThe Sparkhill and Erdington stores are being converted the Co-op and EG Group, while the Edgbaston store is a new standalone Asda Express.
Asda has now shared a look inside the brand-new Express store in Edgbaston. The store is a 1000sqft new build site located on Pershore Road and stocks 3,000 branded and own-label products including ‘top up’ shops for essential items such as milk and bread, grabbing lunch on the go or cooking dinner from scratch.
Other features include a LEON coffee station and a fresh bakery. The opening has created jobs locally and fifteen new Asda colleagues will be on hand to serve customers.
The store is one of seven Asda Express sites now open in Birmingham and is located just two minutes away from Edgbaston Cricket Stadium. Asda is converting 110 Co-op and EG Group stores in the UK in February. The record number of Express store openings in February will bring Asda’s combined supermarket and convenience estate to its biggest in its 58-year history, as the business hits the landmark of 1,000 UK stores.
