Doggy Discos to take place in Birmingham for six dog breeds - dates, tickets & more here

Dog owners in Birmingham will get the chance to take their pups to the UK’s only Doggy Disco event this weekend.

The Doggy Disco is coming to the World Bar at Resorts World Birmingham on Saturday (September 30) and Sunday, (October 1) to kick off the party season.

Dog owners who own breeds including: dachshunds, cockapoos, cavapoos, pomeranians, chihuahuas and pugs will be able to mingle with dog owners at the discos who have these same breeds during allocated time slots at the World Bar.

The event is being hosted by Pop + Bark, the dog lovers who host canine experiences breed-specific dog cafes and discos, mixed-breed events and private parties.

Pop + Bark creators Anushka and James, along with Bertie the Pug, were even featured on the latest season of BBC’s Dragon Den with their creation.

And following the well received Golden Retriever Cafe events at Resorts World earlier this year, Pop + Bark is now bringing the ultimate feel-good event to Birmingham’s Resorts World. Taking place within the World Bar.

Dachshund (known as the sausage dog) owners can expect a Doggy Dancefloor, glowsticks, mirror balls and heaps of disco props during the event for them on Sunday.

You can bring your breed to experience the ‘world’s only Pupuccino Bar’, where they can enjoy all sorts of dog-friendly toppings, from fresh blueberries to peanut butter sprinkles.

A Doggy Barkery will also be serving iced pupcakes, dognuts, jammy doggers and more. There will also be be adorable doggy-sized furniture, fun props, and photo opportunities.

Dog owners can also mingle with like-minded dog lovers, and the welcoming event is open to all Dachshund lovers, whether you have your own dog in tow or not.

The weekend of 30^th September-1^st October will see a host of breed-specific time slots, the line up includes:

Saturday September 30:

• 10:30am: Cockapoo Café – Doodle Disco
• 12:15pm: Cavapoo Café – Doodle Disco

Sunday October 1:

• 10:30am: Dachshund Disco
• 12:15pm: Pom Café does Disco
• 2pm: Chihuahua Café does Disco
• 3:45pm: Pug Café does Disco
