Birmingham RSPCA: Seven loyal dogs looking for a forever home in Birmingham & West Midlands
Here are seven loving dogs that are up for adoption and currently at RSPCA’s Birmingham Animal Centre
Animal charity RSPCA is home to several beautiful dogs that are looking for a second chance at finding a loving family. These dogs are currently living at the in Birmingham Animal Centre at Newbrook Farm in Frankley Green.
Whether you are adopting or buying a dog, it’s a decision that needs to be taken carefully. With recent attacks by dogs, their behaviour have come into question.
New and experienced owners need to proceed with caution and ensure that their dogs are trained well - even if it means hiring private fields to walk dogs. Some of the dogs in the care of the charity have specific requirements - such as socialising at a slow pace, being the only animal in a home, and being in a home with no small children - that need to be taken seriously.
However, when the humans take precautions to give a healthy and caring home - dogs or any pet can thrive. Dogs love unconditionally and are fiercely loyal to their owners. And, you are likely to find a dog that would suit your personality and lifestyle at the charity making them perfect partners for your adventures. Here are seven loving dogs that are up for adoption in Birmingham Animal Centre:

1. Sandy
This pup is a 6-12 months old crossbreed. She is a timid girl in need of a home who understands the need to gently introduce her into the big wide world. She comes from a multi-animal animal household where she had minimal exposure to the outside world and new experiences.
2. Luna
She is a 2-year-old Cane Corso. She likes to greet her human pals with a toy in her mouth and the waggiest tail you have ever seen - a sight to warm any heart! The charity are looking for a stable, adult only home for Luna with some experience of larger bull-breeds (although Luna is actually very petite for a Presa Canario X) and experience with nervey dogs who are happy to come and visit Luna a few times to build a bond with her before transitioning her into her new life.

3. Shyla
She is a 4-year-old Bull Terrier crossbreed. Shyla loves a game of chase and a romp around with plush toys, but watch out, those zoomies she runs will make you both dizzy! The charity are looking for an experienced adult home with the right practical set up to give this lovely big girl her new start in life. Shyla could be an ideal work-from-home companion as she really does love to chill on her bed after a bit of a run around.

4. Lyra
Lyra is a 6-12 months old Mastiff crossbreed. Lyra socialises well with many dogs and may benefit from living with a well-socialised mature male dog. As she has grown in confidence in the charity’s care, they are beginning to see a girl who, while she is timid in new situations, takes reassurance from her bonded humans well and is very intelligent. Lyra loves her plush toys and would just love to have a garden to sunbathe in!
