A third man has been charged with the murder of Cody Fisher, who was stabbed to death in a Digbeth nightclub on Boxing Day.

Reegan Anderson was yesterday (12 January) detained in connection with the death of Cody who was fatally wounded at the Crane club on 26 December.

The 18-year-old from Erdington has now been charged with murder and affray and will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (13 January).

Cody, 23, was stabbed on the dance floor of the Crane nightclub on Adderley Street in Digbeth just before midnight on Boxing Day.

He died at the scene.

Two other men had already been charged with his murder, while a third has been released on police bail while inquiry continues.

Kami Carpenter, 21, and Remy Gordon, 22, have appeared at Birmingham Crown Court charged with murder and affray.

They will appear for a plea and trial preparation hearing at the same court on March 17 and a provisional trial date was set for July 3.

West Midlands Police said: “We continue to ask for anyone with information which can assist our ongoing enquiries to come forward.”
