‘I should have been dead a long time ago’: Ozzy Osbourne says he’s ‘lucky’ to be alive after health issues

Ozzy Osbourne has admitted that both he and his doctors are surprised he is still alive after years of heavy drinking and the deaths of many others who lived the same rockstar lifestyle.

His famous former drinking buddies including Motorhead’s Lemmy, AC/DC’s Bon Scott and Led Zeppelin’s John Bonham have passed away, yet Ozzy remains standing.

“I should have been dead a long time ago,” Ozzy, 74, said via Daily Star.

“I must have been lucky. I am not sure I was any better or worse than anyone else [when it came to partying].”

Ozzy has battled Parkinson’s disease since his diagnosis 20 years ago in 2003. He revealed the physical and mental challenges that he has faced while living with the disease.

He also underwent a major neck operation and last year contracted COVID-19.

As a result of his continuous health issues, last month, he cancelled his No More Tours 2 run due to “physical incapacity.”

However, this has left the rockstar frustrated and determined to take to the stage again, even if that means performing in a wheelchair.

According to an inside source, Ozzy is “upset and annoyed” that he has been unable to perform, largely because he has issues with his balance and standing for long periods of time. This is one of the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.

Despite this, he is already considering coming out of retirement and making a comeback.

He has declared: “I am gonna f***ing get back on stage.”

Ozzy wants to perform a short run in Las Vegas or at a Los Angeles venue. However, his wife, Sharon Osbourne, is concerned about her husband and the heavy workload that comes with performing.

Back in December, Sharon also had a health scare when she fainted and was unconscious for 20 minutes before being admitted to two hospitals.

Doctors were unable to pinpoint the cause of the fainting, but Sharon has since been seen out looking in good health.
