Over recent months, we’ve had a look at the famous faces - actors, musicians and even politicians - who were raised in and around Birmingham. Now, we’ve decided to take a look at the famous celebrities who grew up in the city district of Shard End.
A few famous people grew up in these Birmingham areas which have plenty to offer.
Located in the Hodge Hill district, Shard End borders Castle Bromwich to the north and Kingshurst to the east which are situated in the northern part of the neighbouring borough of Solihull.

5. Peter Murray-Willis
Born in Castle Bromwich, was an English first-class cricketer. He played 29 times at first-class level either side of the Second World War, at first for Worcestershire and then for Northamptonshire. He also has links to Shard End | Wikipedia

6. Lewis Bedford
Bedford footballer who played as an outside forward. He started his career with West Bromwich Albion in 1920. He also played for Sheffield Wednesday and Walsall. Was born in Castle Bromwich and grew up around the area and Shard End | Hatters Heritage photo
