Popular London nightclub voted one of world’s best set to open second venue in Birmingham

One of London’s most popular nightclubs is set to open a second venue in Birmingham.

XOYO in Shoreditch is known for electronic music, with a regular calendar of DJs & live acts and the business owners are now expanding to the second city.

Posters had appeared across Birmingham over the last couple of weeks hinting at the announcement .The cryptic artwork stated ‘All We Wanna Do Is Dance’ followed by ‘A music venue for Birmingham from the people of Birmingham’. Included is a QR code that takes you to the XOYO website and a countdown clock.

The new venue is set to open in Autumn 2023, with the doors set to open for the first time on Friday, September 15. Famous DJs and musicians such as Goldie, Heidi and Flava D have all performed at the London nightclub. The club was even voted one of the world’s top 100 clubs by DJ Mag in 2020.

A statement on the club’s Instagram page, read: “Witness global artistry whilst embracing our incredible homegrown talent in the Midlands. The dance floor comes first at XOYO Birmingham.”

A post of the club’s Twitter page, also read: “XOYO Birmingham is set to redefine the city’s nightlife experience, with its unwavering dedication to local talent and an ethos rooted in inclusivity.” The nightclub hasn’t confirmed as of yet where exactly in the city the Birmingham venue will be located.
