Flying Scotsman adds another Birmingham date offering train rides of a lifetime
Due to incredible demand, the Flying Scotsman has added another date to its Birmingham diary for February.
If you're looking for something to banish the winter blues, an onboard journey behind the legendary Flying Scotsman could be just the ticket.
They have three journeys on Valentines Day, with First Class offering passengers a full at-table dining service - First Class with Brunch, and with Afternoon Tea have already sold out.
The Flying Scotsman is hauling the Valentine's Shakespeare Express from Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon and return on February 14, 2026. Organized by Vintage Trains, these special trips depart from Birmingham Moor Street/Snow Hill, offering dining experiences in Pullman cars through the Warwickshire countryside.
Due to incredible demand, the Flying Scotsman will now take charge of The Shakespeare Express on Saturday 21st February too.
There will be three departures on the day and if you wanted to make your journey extra special why not travel in First Class, where you can enjoy a delicious Brunch, Afternoon Tea or 3-Course Evening Dinner served at your seat.

- Vintage Trains offering two very special travel experiences for you to choose from: On Valentine’s Day, Saturday 14th February, Flying Scotsman will haul three Valentine’s Shakespeare Express trains from Birmingham to Stratford Upon Avon and return, a two hour express train experience, with the option of either brunch, afternoon tea or a three course evening dinner in our authentic luxury Pullman cars or seating in our Tourist cars with large picture windows by every seat with buffet car availability
- During Half Term on Wednesday 18th, Thursday 19th, Friday 20th February and Saturday 21st February, Flying Scotsman will haul five one hour train ride experiences daily, together with a unique opportunity for you and your family to take unforgettable selfies by the locomotive at Moor Street station before or after your ride
