Erdington care home donates £600 to hospice
The donation will help fund specialist bereavement support sessions for people in Birmingham and surrounding areas, providing compassionate care and support during difficult times
A care home in Erdington is supporting a local hospice in its mission to provide care for people living with life-limiting conditions.

Care UK’s Elderflower Grange, on Orphanage Road, has donated £600 to Birmingham Hospice to help support its specialist care services.
The charity provides vital palliative and end of life care for people across Birmingham, Solihull, Sandwell and Sutton Coldfield. Every day, Birmingham Hospice supports around 670 patients through its inpatient units, community services and Living Well Centres.
Sabrina Hussaine, Corporate Fundraiser at Birmingham Hospice, said: “This donation of £600 will make a real difference to Birmingham Hospice and the people we care for. Every contribution helps to provide compassionate, specialist care and support to patients and their loved ones when they need it most.
“£100 pays for a specialist bereavement support session. Thanks to the generosity of Elderflower Grange, this donation could fund three of those sessions, supporting people through their journey of grief. Thank you to everyone who contributed; your support has allowed us to keep making every moment matter.”
Jag Singh, Home Manager at Elderflower Grange, added: “Birmingham Hospice holds a special place in our hearts and we’re delighted to support the incredible work it carries out for local people.
“As a care home, we know how important it is to provide compassionate and specialist care for individuals and their families during difficult times. We’re proud to have presented the hospice with this donation and to play a part in helping its team providing its invaluable support to people across our community.”
