The US businessman will be talking about his aim to build the "Wembley of the Midlands"

Tom Wagner, who owns Birmingham City alongside NFL legend Tom Brady, will be talking about his aim to build the "Wembley of the Midlands" at an Insider Media event.

The club’s American owners Knighthead Ltd confirmed back in April that the club had purchased the 48-acre former Wheels site on Bordesley Park to build Birmingham City’s new stadium as well as a £3bn sports quarter for the city.

It will also be the club’s new home for training with more than 3,000 jobs expected to be created as part of the redevelopment plans at the site. There are plans for the stadium to possibly hold up to 60,000 seats. In an interview with Sky Sports News, Blues chairman Tom Wagner previously said they want the stadium to host ‘international sporting events.’

“It would be ideal to host NFL events,” he said at the time.

Now, the US businessman will be talking about his aim to build the "Wembley of the Midlands" at the West Midlands Real Estate Investment Summit.
