The Cocktail Club is coming to Birmingham - and you can try their signature drinks at the World smallest Cocktail Bar ahead of it fully opening

The world’s smallest cocktail bar is coming to Birmingham - and you’re invited, it’s walk-ins only.

The unique bijou bar will set up in Birmingham for three days next week. The Cocktail Club, a new bar opening in the city centre, is hosting the three-day pop up event at Temple Phone Box on Temple Row from 1st - 3rd September.

The bar will serve three of The Cocktail Club’s signature cocktails, including Jam Jar Daiquiri, Pornstar Martini and Bramley Apple Smash. The pop up will be hosted by John James “JJ” Goodman, co-founder of The Cocktail Club and winner of the Cocktail World Cup, on the first day. The cocktail bar will also be open on 2nd and 3rd September from 3pm to 8pm - making it a happy start to the weekend.

The Cocktail Club which will launch on 29 September in a permanent location on Temple Street - where they will offer ‘The World’s Hottest Happy Hour’ seven days a week.

Origins of the bar

The idea for the bar was conceived by Goodman and James Hopkins. Their first site was on Goodge Street, London, and a further eight sites were opened there across the following eight years. The first regional expansion was in Bristol in 2018.

What’s special about Birmingham location?

The Birmingham site will be their 15th venue to date, with the interior designed by a top Brit designer.

The bar will have a capacity of 45, set across two floors and three rooms. From classy or crazy, sweet or sour, to traditional or tropical, each cocktail is finished with its own garnish – think fire, fruit and sweets.

Signature cocktails include the ‘Solero Sundae’ with coconut rum, mango, passionfruit and cream, topped with a passionfruit mousse, plus their ‘Southside Royal’ with gin, prosecco and a spray of absinthe mist.

You can also avail their party packages and cocktail masterclasses alongside private room and venue hire.

What did the founder say?

JJ Goodman, co-founder of The Cocktail Club, said, “I am so excited to be hosting this pop up in Birmingham to mark the launch of our biggest and most glamorous Cocktail Club to date. The World’s Smallest Cocktail Bar (as far as we’re aware!) will be serving a handful of our signature cocktails to the people of Birmingham. I’m looking forward to meeting everybody and spreading the word about the Cocktail Club Birmingham launch!
