The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations will be getting underway shortly, and one of the most popular events will be street and garden parties.

Ahead of the weekend, here is a selection of events taking place in Birmingham across the weekend

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations Street Party and BBQ

From 3pm on Friday, 3 June, The Village Inn is inviting people to gather for some pints and a BBQ at their pub.

In addition to this is an outdoor BBQ and a full range of tables out on the outdoor seating area of the pub for people to soak up the (hopefully) good weather.

Queen’s Jubilee Street Party - Family Fun Handsworth

Handsworth, West Midlands

Enjoy celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee Bank Holiday Sunday 5 June on Holly Road Bring friends and family and enjoy a day and night party on the street.

Guests to the party are encouraged to bring whistles and horns to add to the party atmosphere.

The event is free and is set to last 12 hours, from 12am to 12pm.

Selly Oak Jubilee Street Party

Heeley Road, Birmingham, B29 6, United Kingdom

On Saturday, 4 June, the road will be closed from 2pm-7pm, and all residents who live on Heeley Road and the surrounding area are invited.

Expect Garage, Jungle, Drum and Bass, and impeccable vibes all day, there will also be a bar run by ‘Dirty Juice’.

To accommodate for the league number of street parties taking place in Birmingham over the coming weekend, Birmingham City Council have confirmed a list of roads that will be closed.

This list includes roads across the city, showing that there are events taking place in almost every corner of Birmingham.
