Pumpkin picking patches in and around Birmingham for Halloween 2022

The spooky holiday season is almost upon us and kids will already be planning their costumes and trick or treating routes for Monday, 31 October.

There’s a number of pumpkin picking patches across the Midlands that can help you on your quest to pick the perfect pumpkin.

Essington Farm, Wolverhampton
The pick your own pumpkin experience at Essington Farm has returned this October.

Hide AdThe farm has a wide variety of pumpkins available, including; Becky, Racer, Rocket, Rival, Golden Medal, Cargo and Kratos, as well as a few unusual ones including pink, yellow, white and grey pumpkins.
You will need to pre-book in advance and events take place this week on Friday 28 and 29 October.
Manor Farm Fruits, Tamworth
The Pumpkin Fest for 2022 is now underway, and is open for 18 days throughout October.

Hide AdThis year, the farm have grown 20 acres of pumpkins, producing over 85,000 pumpkins, squashes and gourds ready for the festivities.
So, whether you want to carve a large pumpkin, make a delicious pumpkin pie or simply decorate your house and garden with little pumpkins, Manor Farm Fruits will have you covered.
All bookings must be made online before you can attend.
Lower Drayton Farm, Stafford
The pick your own event at Lower Drayton Farm in Penkbridge is underway.

Hide AdIt takes place every weekend from Saturday 1st October, daily from Friday 14th – 31st October.
The farm has planted over 125,000 pumpkin seeds of various varieties, over 20 acres, making us one of the largest pumpkin fields in the area.
Hot food including hotdogs and pumpkin soup will also be provided by the Pear Tree Farm, as well as soft drinks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Hatton’s spookiest event of the year is back - running until 31 October, this spooktacular event is bursting with Halloween fun and activities.
You can Pick your own Pumpkin* from the Pumpkin patch, brave the Haunted House, and be thoroughly entertained at the Magic & Mayhem Illusion show.
You can also explore the Haunted House, brave the Zombie Marsh, ride the Bewitching Tractor Safari, enter a Fancy Dress Competition, be entertained by the Magic and Mayhem Illusion Show, plus many more thrills and chills to discover .

Pumpkin picking will also be back at Lower Clopton Farm in Warwickshire this year.
Pumpkin picking is available on Tuesday 25th to Saturday 29th October. running from 10am to 3pm.
No booking is required for the PYO Pumpkins at Lower Clopton, and payment is taken at the trailer at the start of the field with cash or card accepted.

Hide AdPumpkins R Us, Kenilworth
Booking is now open for the Pumpkins R Us event at Stoneleigh Park in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.
This patch has every size, colour and shape of pumpkin you can imagine and all of them are grown on the family farm.
The events will be located in Hall 1 - on the main drive through the Stoneleigh Estate.

Hide AdDaytime and evening tickets are available. The evening event runs from 7pm to 10pm
Ticket prices are £6 per person and day tickets are £4.
And if you’re planning a Halloween party this year, decorations and ghoulish goodies will be on sale, and an on-site cafe will be serving a selection of hot and cold drinks and tasty snacks.
Woods Barn, Shirley
Until 30 October Woods Barn is running its annual pumpkin picking and carving events.

Hide AdOpen daily from 10am – 7pm you can pick up pumpkins and - and there will be some Christmas decorations available too for those who like to plan a bit further ahead.
Bookings are not required for pumpkin picking or carving. But carving will be on a first come first serve basis. Of course, if the tables are full you can always take your pumpkin home to carve.
The pumpkins priced individually based on size. Starting from £2.00 – £20.00

The pick your own pumpkin experience will begin at Canalside Farm in Great Haywood.
The farm will also have a choice of orange, green, yellow and white pumpkins in all shapes and sizes to choose from.
