O’Neill’s Birmingham: new look for Broad Street bar with cocktail towers, tapas, and live sport

The popular city centre venue closed in May for a refurbishment.

Legendary Birmingham sports bar and live music venue O’Neill’s has reopened its doors after a four-week closure to unveil a brand new look.

The venue on Broad Street in Birmingham City Centre reopened last week after undergoing a refurbishment and gave customers a glimpse of what to expect at a VIP relaunch party which featured drinks sampling, food tasting and live music.

The interior has seen a stunning remodel with neon Instagrammable signs providing photo opportunities and exposed brick walls that complement the venue’s new aesthetic.

It has seen the addition of new spaces, including booth seating which each have their own TV, so customers do not miss out on any of the action. The venue now also has a meeting space for up to 645 people, which can be booked privately for conferences, parties and events.

O’Neill’s is set to serve old favourites, as well as new offerings such as lunch and a drink from £6, pizza and a drink from £9.75, plus tapas and cocktail offers.

The bar is open seven days a week from 9 am and will host weekly live music and major sports events, kicking off with the Women’s Euro 2022 tournament.

O’Neill’s general manager Stef Reidy said: “We are very excited to have our doors back open again, especially with the Commonwealth Games and World Cup still to come this year!

“We have an incredibly loyal guest base, as well as plenty of visiting trade, and we’ve loved to see their reaction!”

He added: “You can use our website or app to book yourself a table for any event and take advantage of our ‘order at table’ function via the app, so you never have to leave your table!”
