First impressions of Blank Street Coffee:
Walking into Blank Street Coffee is as Instagram-worthy as it gets.
The brown leather seats attached to the walls shaped like espresso milk waves, and the wooden décor and greenery on signs scream “coffee heaven.” The interior is thoughtfully designed with comfy seating, warm lighting, and a modern aesthetic that makes it the perfect spot to chill with a cup of coffee.
My thoughts on Blank Street’s viral coffees:
When I walked in, I wasn’t sure what to try. With so many drinks having their viral moments, I asked one of the Blank Street’s team members for a recommendation.

The matcha was perfectly balanced with a hint of blueberry sweetness, creating a refreshing and delightful beverage. I could see why it had become a viral sensation on TikTok – it looks as good as it tastes!
I tried the White Chocolate Matcha. This creamy, autumnal drink combined the earthy notes of matcha with the creamy sweetness of white chocolate. It was like a milky hug in a cup.
With cooler weather approaching, their new Autumn Menu is set to feature cosy, seasonal drinks.

Blank Street Coffee is famous for its matcha creations and cold brew specialties, but their quick snacks and pastries are also top-notch. I sampled the Peach Danish, carrot cake, and croissant. The portions are impressively large – apparently, Birmingham servings are the biggest in the UK!
Each pastry was delicious and satisfying, with the Peach Danish standing out for its perfect balance of sweetness and flakiness.
The store also features outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying a sunny summer day or the crisp autumn breeze. It’s an ideal spot for people-watching or simply soaking in the lively atmosphere of Bullring.
Blank Street has already garnered a fanbase thanks to its viral moments on social media and a surprise visit from Sabrina Carpenter at their London location. The Birmingham store is set to continue this trend, offering not just great coffee and pastries but also a range of merchandise for fans.
