Some truly stunning locations are now being served by East Midlands Airport

We’re only one day into 2025, but many of us will already be thinking about our plays for the year ahead.

January can be a bit of a depressing month when it comes to the weather, so it’s understandable to start turning attentions to jetting off somewhere hot and sunny.

East Midlands Airport (EMA), just a short drive from Nottingham, serves more than 80 locations across Europe, making it the ideal place to plan your 2025 escape from.

In fact, EMA is adding four new routes to its daily schedule in 2025.

The airlines launching new destinations from the airport are Jet2, TUI and Blue Islands.

The four new routes are:

Leros (Greece) - Jet2

Earlier this month Jet2 announced that it will be running two flights a week to the Greek island of Leros from May 2025.

From then on, flights to the Greek island will be on Tuesdays and Fridays until the end of October 2025.

Boa Vista (Cape Verde) and Burgas (Bulgaria) - TUI

From next summer, TUI will be offering flights from EMA to Boa Vista, Cape Verde, and Burgas, Bulgaria.

Then, between November 2025 and May 2026, flights will only be on Wednesdays.

Guernsey - Blue Islands

EMA will be one of three new UK airports to begin routes to Guernsey in 2025.

Airline Blue Islands will start flights from EMA to Guernsey in March, with tickets now on sale.

EMA will have three flights a week to Guernsey all-year-round, with additional flights during spring and autumn.
