WWE Elimination Chamber: Three major cities including Birmingham in contention to host major show
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Birmingham could be about to welcome big WWE names such as Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and more to a major show in the next year, according to reports.
In 1999, Birmingham held a premium live event (formerly known as a pay-per-view) called Rebellion at the National Indoor Arena, which is now known as Bp pulse LIVE. The main event saw The Rock take on Triple H in a Steel Cage match.

According to WrestleVotes, a well respected wrestling website, the Elimination Chamber PLE could be headed to the United Kingdom. Birmingham and Manchester are vying it out to host the last PPV on the road to its showpiece event WrestleMania, which will be held in April.
Elimination Chamber would take place in March 2025, and would be the third PPV since 2022 to be held in the UK. Cardiff hosted Clash at the Castle in 2022, with £21.8m coming in to the Welsh economy, London’s O2 arena had Money in the Bank in 2023, and then Scotland hosted Clash at the Castle in Glasgow.
Birmingham and Manchester’s chances have taken somewhat of a hit however, as London have registered their interest in holding the event, as well as Canada. Canada has already had the Money in the Bank PLE this year, and will also host Survivor Series in November.
In an update on the matter, WrestleVotes said this week: "Along with Birmingham and Manchester, London is now on the board with The O2 arena as being a possible location. The show is to be arena-sized and not stadium-based.

So with that said, I would say the United Kingdom is definitely still the favourite. However, to be determined, as Canada has jumped in kind of the last minute here.”
The last televised event to be held in Birmingham was in November 2012. Their weekly shows RAW and Smackdown were filmed over two consecutive days. RAW was shown just a couple of hours after it was filmed, whereas for Smackdown it was taped on November 6, but didn't air until November 9.
The WWE begin their Live 2024 UK Tour this Sunday (October 13) when they travel to Cardiff, but they won’t be in Birmingham. They are instead visiting Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester. They will then come back in November, visiting London, Nottingham, and Sheffield.
Wrestling fans in the United Kingdom face a major change in January, when their weekly shows Raw and SmackDown, along with the premium live events are aired on Netflix. Currently, RAW and Smackdown are shown on TNT Sport, whilst PLEs can either be bought on pay-per-view on TNT Sport or watched on the WWE Network for £9.99.
