Wolves shocked Premier League champions Manchester City as they recorded a 2-1 win over Pep Guardiola’s side at Molineux on Saturday afternoon.
It is the first time Gary O’Neil’s side have won on home soil in the Premier League this term after losing both of their other home fixtures to Brighton and Liverpool respectively. City had won all six of their league games but Wolves ended that run just days after City were knocked out of the Carabao Cup at Newcastle United.
A Ruben Dias own goal gave Wolves a 13th-minute lead but Julian Alvarez hauled the visitors level just before the hour. However, the hosts kept their composure and regained the lead eight minutes later through Hwang Hee-chan and saw out the remainder of the contest to clinch a valuable three points.
The result moved Wolves into 13th and put them four points clear of the relegation places. Here’s how we rated the Wolves performances from one of the results of the day...
