‘Agreement in place’ for £4.4m midfielder amid Wolves contract reality
Pablo Sarabia is expected to leave Wolves upon the expiry of his contract with a summer transfer already finalised, according to new reports in Spain.
Wolves had been expected to say farewell to Sarabia at the end of June anyway as the experienced attacking midfielder was yet agreed terms to extend his contract. That fate has now seemingly been sealed with reports circulating that Sevilla have already completed an agreement to re-sign the 32-year-old ahead of next season.

Hide AdSarabia, who joined the Old Gold for €5 million (£4.4m) from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2023, has contributed six goals and 11 assists in 68 appearances. The 27-time Spain international arrived with plenty of pedigree but has failed to consistently live up to expectations, mainly utilised as a squad player throughout his two or so years at Molineux.

Last season was arguably a success for Sarabia as he scored four goals and made seven assists in 30 Premier League appearances but he’s been unable to carry that form over into 2024/25. The former PSG man has played just 783 minutes across all competitions this term, scoring just one goal.
Vitor Pereira has occasionally gotten the best out of Sarabia with his best showing under the new head coach coming in the 2-0 victory over Aston Villa, when he assisted Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s opening goal. Pereira has been disappointed with Sarabia’s overall work rate, however, and wasn’t planning on keeping the veteran midfielder around.
‘Agreement’ reached for Pablo Sarabia
All parties are on the same page, it appears, as Sarabia is set to depart Molineux at the end of the season. A report from Spain - as cited by Sport Witness - suggests Sevilla have been monitoring Sarabia’s situation and have swooped in to tie the playmaker down to a pre-contract ahead of 2025/26.

Hide AdIt’s claimed everything has already been agreed for Sarabia to re-sign for Sevilla six years after he left for PSG, with a two-year contract on the table with the option for a further 12 months. The La Liga club are delighted to have the opportunity to reunite with a former favourite for free, while the player has displayed a strong desire to make the move back to Seville.
Sarabia’s first spell at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium was a huge success as he racked up an impressive 43 goals and 38 assists in 151 appearances. Sarabia’s best season was his last at the club when he contributed 23 goals and 17 assists in 52 matches, generating interest from PSG who signed him for around £15 million.
The transfer to Paris was a great success on a silverware front as Sarabia won two Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, one French League Cup and three French Super Cups. It wasn’t the best move from an individual perspective, however, as Sarabia was mainly used as an impact substitute behind the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Angel Di Maria in the pecking order.
