Hide AdFitness issues have troubled the 23-year-old in recent years but, when fit, he has the pace and trickery to rival any winger in the Premier League. Arsenal were the top-flight heavyweight most reports had claimed were chasing Neto, with Bukayo Saka their only elite option on the right flank.
But Football Insider are now reporting that Liverpool will consider a bid should Mohamed Salah leave. The Egyptian turns 32 in June and the future of several Reds stars has been thrown into doubt since Jurgen Klopp announced his exit.
Virgil van Dijk - who turns 33 this summer - hinted at a possible move last month. The Saudi Pro League were reportedly willing to offer a mouth-watering £200million for Salah last year before details of Klopp’s exit emerged.
Should he leave, there would be huge boots to fill at Anfield given his 204 goals in 332 games. Outlets are now claiming Neto could be the man Liverpool target to do exactly that.
