Brazilian club Fluminense has been a hotbed for transfer rumours over the last few months as Liverpool have been heavily linked with signing their midfielder André. However, the Reds aren’t the only ones browsing the potential options Rio de Janeiro’s oldest club has to offer.

Wolves also have their eyes on Fluminense as the January transfer window fast approaches. According to TEAMtalk, André’s teammate Jhon Arias has attracted quite a bit of attention, and Gary O’Neil’s side have been listed among those scouting him ahead of the biggest match of his career.

The Colombian is due to compete in the Copa Libertadores final this weekend, where Fluminense will take on Boca Juniors for the most sought-after prize South American football has to offer. The Brazilians made it clear to Liverpool during the summer that absolutely no offers for André would be considered during their run in the competition. Now, with the final looming, clubs can start to lean in and wait to pounce once the champions are crowned.

Arias’ position will be no different — no transfer talk until after the Copa Libertadores final. But Wolves aren’t the only club in the picture for the versatile winger either. Premier League rivals West Ham, Crystal Palace and Burnley have all been linked to the 26-year-old, while Leeds, Leicester and Rangers are also keeping their eye on him.

Arias has enjoyed a solid campaign with Fluminense, contributing nine goals and 13 assists across all competitions. He can operate on either wing and also in midfield, making him a very appealing suitor for most Premier League clubs. The Colombia is under contract until 2026 but like André, negotiations for his potential departure could open in January.

No transfer fee has been mentioned but Transfermarkt currently values Arias at just €8 million (£7m).
