A Wolves star is said to have agreed a deal 'in principle' to leave the club

Last night, England fans suffered heartbreak yet again. The Three Lions fell to a 2-1 defeat against Spain in the final game of Euro 2024 - it’s something football supporters across the country would likely rather forget. As such, let’s take a look at all the biggest rumours surrounding Wolverhampton Wanderers today.

One of Wolves’ star players is said to have agreed a deal in principle to make a transfer move to a club in Ligue 1 ahead of the 2024/25 season. Nothing is finalised as of yet - Wolves themselves are not believed to have yet agreed to let him go.

While this has been happening, another Wolves player, who looked set to depart the Molineux Stadium over the course of the transfer window will now ‘stay’ at the club. Furthermore, he’s been tipped to push for game time in Wolves’ starting XI next season.

Hwang Hee-chan ‘agrees in principle’ to join Marseille

Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan could be on the move. He has agreed personal terms to join Ligue 1 club Marseille in the summer ‘in principle’, according to a report from The Sun.

Despite this, Wolves have yet to accept an official offer for the player from the French outfit, even though Hwang himself is thought to be ‘keen’ on the idea of leaving Wolves in the summer.

As things stand, Wolves will not let Hwang leave the club for anything less than £30 million - a valuation that Marseille have yet to meet. If the two parties cannot reach an agreement, Marseille will look elsewhere - and Hwang will remain with Wolves.

Since Hwang joined the club back in 2022, he has made 86 Premier League appearances, scoring 20 goals and notching up five assists along the way. Last season, the South Korean international played in 29 league games, scoring 12 goals and registering three assists. Additionally, he also scored a single goal in domestic cup competitions.

Yerson Mosquera ‘set to stay’ at Wolves

Yerson Mosquera looked set to leave Wolves in the summer, following three years in the midlands without making a single Premier League appearance. However, this now does not look to be the case - instead, he will stay at Wolves and is set to ‘push for a regular starting spot’ in the team.

As mentioned, Mosquera has yet to play a game in the Premier during his time at Wolves (he has, however, made a single appearance in the League Cup). His stint at the Molineux Stadium has largely been characterised by loan moves away from the club - he joined FC Cincinnati in 2023 and spent some time on loan at Villareal this season.

Furthermore, he also represents his country at international level. Currently, Mosquera has three caps for Columbia under his belt - he failed to make it into their Copa America squad, however.

Writing on his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Nathan Judah revealed: “Yerson Mosquera is set to stay with Wolves & make a real push for a regular starting spot in Gary O’Neil’s team this season. [He] has looked happy, strong & impressive during training camp.”
