Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly open to a return to Wolves. The Portuguese boss is believed to be keen on coming back to England, despite only being in his current job with Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia since early July.

The Daily Mail have reported that he is ‘attracted’ to the vacancy at Molinuex. The Premier League side are in the hunt for a replacement for Bruno Lage after they sacked him after their poor start to the new season.

The report adds that ex-Forest Green Rovers and Watford manager Rob Edwards has been interviewed for the position. In addition, other candidates based in the ‘UK and abroad’ are also being assessed.

Wolves spell

Wolves swooped for Nuno back in May 2017 whilst they were still in the Championship. Prior to his switch there, he had managed Rio Ave, Valencia and FC Porto.

He guided the Midlands outfit to an immediate promotion to the top flight by winning the second tier title and become an instant hit with his new fans. The former goalkeeper then spent a few more years at the helm and got the club into Europe.

Tottenham Hotspur then came calling last year after he left Wolves by mutual consent but he only lasted five months in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before he was given the chop. Nuno moved to Saudi Arabia a couple of months ago but is now said to be open to returning to his former club.
