Winger eyed

Wolves starlet Pedro Neto is being linked with a move to title hopefuls Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window. According to a report by The Mirror, the Gunners are showing an ‘interest’ in luring the 23-year-old down to the Emirates Stadium this winter to bolster their attacking options.

Neto, who has four caps under his belt for Portugal, joined his current club in 2020 from Braga and has since been a key player. He has made 118 appearances in all competitions to date and has chipped in with 12 goals, one of which has come this term.

Loanee latest

Wolves let youngster Chem Campbell head out the exit door on loan when Charlton Athletic came calling over the summer. The 20-year-old has played four times for the Addicks and was left out of their squad against Shrewsbury Town last time out.

Their boss Michael Appleton has explained why, as per London News Online: “You can only pick 18. You’ve just got to try and pick the right options. Try and think two and three steps ahead – what if this or that happens? That’s what we’ve done. I made it clear to the players on Thursday and Friday that there’s bodies coming back now. The group is getting bigger.

“There are players who think they should be in the team who will end up on the bench. Ones who thinks they should be on the bench who will not even make the squad. That’s just life, that’s what football is all about. I’ll be respectful and make sure they get treated properly. When they come in, hopefully they can put a shift in.”
