Wolverhampton Wanderers have emerged as a surprise destination for Galatasary defender Victor Nelsson.

Nelsson, a Denmark international, is being touted as a potential replacement for Willy Boly who is expected to leave Molineux shortly - with Nottingham Forest a likely landing spot.

According to the Daily Mail, Wolves are keen to bring in another defender and have spoken to the Turkish side about a deal.

If Boly does indeed depart, it will leave Bruno Lage with very limited options at the back following the decision to allow Conor Coady to join Everton on loan.

Nelsson would cost the gold and black a pretty penny, though, with Galatasary rating their 23-year-old centre-back at around £20million.

Goncalo Ramos bid still alive

Elsewhere and a move for Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos is still a possibility.

Bruno Lage denied have any contact with the Portuguese forward prior to the trip to Tottenham Hotspur game last week, though did speak very highly of him.

And Daily Star journalist Jacque Talbot believes a transfer is ‘very possible’ and talks are ‘definitely’ going to be had as we enter the last week of the window.

“I think what Mendes does, is he takes over the mandate of these agents, he’ll offer them some money, then he brings them over to the Premier League, and that’s how he makes his money,” Talbot told Give Me Sport.

“I think that’s the idea, it’s through his connections, so it’s very possible. They’re definitely going to be having conversations, Wolves and Benfica.”
