Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a disappointing start to the 2022-23 Premier League campaign so far.

Bruno Lage’s side are without a win in the top flight, losing two of their opening three league games and drawing one.

Wolves’ performances in those matches have been underwhelming with only one goal scored so far, while conceding three.

They have however progressed to the third round of the League Cup after Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Preston North End at home, and will welcome Leeds United to Molineux at that stage in November.

Lage has bolstered his squad with four first team summer signings, with Hwang Hee-Chan’s loan deal being made permanent, while the Wolves boss has splashed the cash on Nathan Collins, Goncalo Guedes and Matheus Nunes.

The Wolves boss has opted to loan out 13 players during the transfer window, but how have they fared at their temporary clubs so far?

With that being said, we take a look at how the 13 players currently away on loan from Molineux are performing at their temporary clubs.

Ki-Jana Hoever - PSV

The Dutch Right-back joined PSV in June and has since featured twice in all competitions for their first team, while representing their Under-21 side once.

He made his debut for the club in their 5-3 Johan Cruyff Shield final win over Ajax, playing 62 minutes before being substituted.

Ryan Giles - Middlesbrough

The 22-year-old has been one of Middlesbrough’s best performers, according to SofaScore with an average rating of 6.96 after their opening five league games.

The goalkeeper is the only player on the list to have not joined his temporary club on a season-long loan, instead signing for Solihull Moors until January 1, 2023. He has started in all of their league games so far, conceding six goals in four games.

Dion Sanderson - Birmingham City

The 22-year-old is in his second loan spell with the Blues having joined John Eustace’s side for the campaign last month.

Despite the Blues poor start to their Championship season, which has seen them win just one of their five opening games, the centre-back has been their second-best performing player with an average rating of 7.12, as per SofaScore.

Lewis Richards - Harrogate Town

The Ireland U21 international joined the League Two side at the beginning of last month and had been ever present since then, featuring in four of their five league games as well as their League Cup first round loss to Stockport County.

Fabio Silva - Anderlecht

The 20-year-old has hit the ground running with five goals and two assists in all competitions for the Belgian club since sealing a season-long loan move last month.

The Canadian international has started two of Blackpool’s five league games this season, scoring once. He also featured in their League Cup first round loss to Barrow.

In the league, he is averaging just 0.8 shots per game, while completing only 50% of successful dribbles, as per SofaScore.

Nigel Lonwijk - Plymouth Argyle

The Dutch defender has made just one start in League One for the Pilgrims, while coming off the bench twice. He also started in their 2-0 League Cup first round defeat to Peterborough United.

Conor Coady - Everton

The 29-year-old is a Wolves legend but could depart the club if his loan spell at Everton is a successful one. He has made two appearances in the Premier League for the Toffees and will be hoping his experience can help them stay clear of the relegation zone this campaign.

Joe O’Shaughnessy and Bruno Jordao - Bradford City and Santa Clara

Both players are yet to make an appearance for their temporary clubs with the latter only joining Santa Clara on Tuesday.
