Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with an astonishing move for PSG and Argentina international forward Mauro Icardi.
That’s according to Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport who claim the 29-year-old has already ‘had contacts’ with Wolves surrounding a potential transfer.

Hide AdIt was just two years ago that Icardi was one of the hottest strikers in Europe, regularly hitting 25+ goals in Serie A for Inter Milan.
However, controversy in his personal life led to a permanent move to the French capital in 2020 where he has since suffered a rocky few years on the pitch.
It’s public knowledge that Icardi is one of a number of players the Ligue 1 champions are looking to offload this summer and Icardi himself is desperate for a fresh start with the hope that he can reignite his career.
Corriere Dello Sport state that super agent Jorge Mendes is spear-heading a potential transfer and his positive relationship with the Wolves hierarchy could help tip the scales in their favour.

Elsewhere and The Sun have pulled out one of the stranger transfer links of the day involving recently departed defender Romain Saiss.
They state that the 32-year-old, who officially left Wolves yesterday (June 30) upon expiry of his contract is wanted by La Liga giants Barcelona.
However, the Moroccan agreed a two-year deal with Turkish club Besiktas weeks ago and as of today is now officially a Besiktas player.
So, we aren’t too sure about that one.
