We’re nearly into July and Wolverhampton Wanderers have still signed - well - nobody.
There’s still plenty of time to resolve that issue, of course, but it’s still frustrating for fans watching teams around you add players to their squad whilst you continue to seemingly suffer set-back after set-back.
It’s not like Wolves have done nothing this window, they did sign Hwang Hee-chan on a permanent deal from RB Leipzig but it’s hardly got the pulse racing.
That and numerous players continue to leave Molineux, from those like Romain Saiss who didn’t renew his contract after its expiration and the younger players like Ryan Giles who are being sent out on loan to gain first-team experience.
Whilst the latter especially is all well and good, it is worrying when the already small squad size only appears to be getting smaller.
In an ideal world all the heavily linked players like Matheus Nunes and Joao Palhinha would already be through the door but we don’t live in an ideal world and even in the real world - they may never happen.
However, let’s say they did.
BirminghamWorld have taken a look at just what Wolves’ team could look like next year, in full, if Lage landed every one of those linked players.

2. RB - Nelson Semedo
With Ki-Jana Hoever and Bendeguz Bolla both moving out on loan - Semedo has little to no competition for the right-back spot away from Jonny who can take up a place on either side. | Getty Images

3. CB - Conor Coady

4. CB - Willy Boly
After an injury-hit first-half of the season, Boly had a very strong end to the campaign. Pips Kilman to a starting berth. | Getty Images
