The genius Wolves free agent signing who could be ideal summer addition amid Leeds United interest

Wolves are preparing for their first full season under the guidance of Vitor Pereira. He was brought in as their replacement for Gary O’Neil during the last campaign. The former FC Porto man has since become a popular figure at Molineux.
He managed to keep the Midlands outfit in the Premier League pretty comfortably in the end. They have the chance to bring in some new faces over the next couple of months. Some current players could also head out the exit door this summer.

Hide AdWolves should pursue Kyle Walker-Peters deal
Wolves have the opportunity to move for Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer following his exit from Southampton. He will be leaving the Saints for nothing when his contract expires at the end of the month. They are back in the Championship following their relegation from the top flight.
Walker-Peters, 28, will be weighing up his next move in the game. He has been linked with a few different teams recently. As per a report by Leeds United News, Leeds United are admirers of the player following their promotion from the second tier along with West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
However, Wolves should try and snap him up instead. They have seen Rayan Ait-Nouri head out the exit door to join Manchester City so need to bring in some defenders. In addition, Nelson Semedo is also facing an uncertain future so the Londoner would get plenty of game time there.
Why would Kyle Walker-Peters suit Wolves?
He can play either right-back or left-back so would be a useful squad player for Wolves. The twice-capped England international would also add more competition and depth to their defensive department. He is also experienced in the game and is a proven performer in the top flight.

Hide AdWalker-Peters rose up through the academy ranks at Spurs and was a regular for them at various different youth levels. He broke into their first-team in 2015 and went on to make 24 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with one goal from the back. Southampton then came calling in 2020 and he initially joined them on loan.
The Saints later made his transfer permanent and he went on to become a key player. He played 192 matches during his time in Hampshire and was a great servant to the club, finding the net on six occasions. Walker-Peters played a key role behind their play-off final win over Leeds back in 2024 under former head coach Russell Martin.
Pereira has recently shared this Wolves recruitment update: “This is a crucial period, in which we are losing players, and important ones, and in which we are analysing solutions, meeting… In this league, without a good squad, it is very complicated. The Premier League punishes those who make mistakes cruelly and we cannot make them.
“We have a lot of quality here. Many quality players, coaches and not only in football, in all areas. We don’t value them much, but I have travelled the world and I feel that they look at the Portuguese and recognise that they are competent and hard-working.”
