Wolves injury news and return dates ahead of Spurs clash - including Matheus Cunha selection update

Wolves take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday as they look to keep their recent upturn in results going. Vitor Pereira’s side are sat in 17th place in the Premier League table as they aim to stay up. They are 12 points above the drop zone.
The Midlands outfit have seven fixtures left to play before the end of the season. Pablo Sarabia and Jorgen Strand Larsen scored their goals against Ipswich Town last time out as they ran out 2-1 winners. They were losing 1-0 against the Tractor Boys before turning the game around to secure all three points.

Leon Chiwone - out. The striker is out with an ACL injury on a long-term basis. He said back in January: “Devastated to say that I've ruptured my ACL, and it will bring my season to an end just after coming back from injury.” Expected return date: 25/10/2025
Yerson Mosquera - out. He has been sidelined with a knee injury and won’t be ready to play until later this year. Former manager Gary O’Neil said last October: “It’s really early days, and I don’t want to put a definitive time scale on it, but everything went very well with the surgery. Over the next days and weeks, we’ll start to really map out what the rehab looks like.” Expected return date: 01/06/2025
Enso Gonzalez Medina - out. The 20-year-old won’t be seen until next season. Ex-boss O’Neil shared this last update last year: “He's beginning his strength phase. He's a few months ahead of Yerson. He responded really well to the initial surgery and is back in the gym working hard, so he's right on track with where we'd expect him to be.” Expected return date: 01/06/2025
Sasa Kalajdzic - out. He has had rotten luck on the injury front since his move to England. It remains to be seen exactly when he will be back. His team won’t want to rush him back anytime soon and will wait for the right time to play him next. Expected return date: Unknown

Matheus Cunha - back. Wolves have received a boost with their key man now back available after suspension. The attacker was banned for four matches and fined £50,000 after clashing with Milos Kerkez in their match against AFC Bournemouth last month. He has scored 15 goals in this campaign. Expected return date: 14/04/2025
Following his ban, Pereira said: “This is a bad moment because the damage is of course to himself firstly, then to the team. But he gave us a lot until now and that means that this is the moment to support him. He had a bad moment. Of course, it was a mistake, and he needs to learn from his mistake.”
Cunha is under a long-term contract at Molineux but that won’t stop transfer rumours from circling. Wolves could face a real battle to keep hold of him this summer when the next window opens. He has proved himself over recent times and injects quality into their ranks.
