The latest transfer updates from Wolves ahead of Friday’s deadline day

Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen to retain the services of defensive midfielder Boubacar Traore amid reports of interest from a number of top European clubs.

One of the frontrunners for his signature is believed to be Dutch giants Feyenoord, who reportedly had an offer of €15M (£12.6m) rejected for the 23-year-old midfielder earlier today, according to French outlet L’Equipe.

German side Borussia Monchengladbach and French outfit RC Lens are also keeping tabs on the situation but BBC Sport understands that the Old Gold are reluctant to sell this summer and still see him as part of their plans moving forwards.

Feyenoord have already taken left back Hugo Bueno on loan from Wolves this summer and Gary O’Neil is determined not to thin his squad any further.

Traore made 24 league appearances for Wolves last season and remains an important part of the team’s plans despite failing to make an appearance in his side’s opening two league matches.

The 23-year-old played for Mali at the Olympics and was the final squad member to return ahead of the start of the season. He is currently being eased back into the action and is unlikely to leave Molineux this summer unless a significant bid was to emerge.

Wolves are firmly focused on adding players to their squad before Friday and are expected to rival Rangers in their pursuit of talented Egyptian winger Ibrahim Adel.

The Pyramids ace has been one of the top performing wingers in the Egyptian Premier League for the last five years, but is understood to be pushing for a move away this summer as he looks to establish himself as a regular at international level.

The four-time Egypt international was left out of his team’s most recent squad for a league game against Al Masry and according to local outlet Yallakora is likely to leave the African side before the end of the transfer window.

Ibrox News understands that he is valued at around £5m by his team. He boasts a record of 34 goals and 11 assists in 134 career appearances and his blessed with the ability to play on either side of the attack.
