First up, Wolves will play host to Manchester City on the opening weekend, kicking off at 5.30pm on Saturday and aired live on Sky Sports. The next game is then AFC Bournemouth away and the third outing is Everton at home. The rest of Wolves’ fixtures are listed at the end of this article.

Are times for games announced?

For the first round of 2025/26 Premier League fixtures, the exact dates and times have now been confirmed. This has been planned well ahead of time to ensure that broadcasters can make their necessary arrangements.

As is often the tradition, one game has been selected for the Friday night of the first weekend. In line with that, Liverpool will play host to AFC Bournemouth on Sky Sports on August 15. Other matches on TV across the first weekend include: Aston Villa vs Newcastle United (Saturday 12.30pm), Wolves vs Man City (Saturday 5.30pm), Chelsea vs Crystal Palace (Sunday 2pm), Manchester United vs Arsenal (Sunday 4.30pm) and Leeds United vs Everton (Monday 8pm).

Can the dates change?

There are several reasons why Premier League matches may move, with a considerable impact made by UEFA competitions as organisers typically give clubs at least two clear days between games. There are an unprecedented nine teams in European action this season – six in the Champions League, two in the Europa League and one in the Conference League. Many Premier League weekends will be chopped and changed as a result.

Progression into the later rounds of the FA Cup can also have an impact on fixture dates. Clubs making it to the semi-finals and final will see their games clash with the Premier League. Matches may therefore be moved to a midweek before or after they were originally scheduled, also taking into account any possible involvement in UEFA competition.

Are Wolves in Europe this season?

Following last season’s 16th-placed finish, Wolves will not compete in any UEFA competitions this campaign. Wanderers’ last involvement in European football was back in 2019/20, when they entered the Europa League during Nuno Espirito Santo’s managerial reign.
