Neves picked up a massive 75% of the votes for the month’s award, the club have revealed.

A highlight for many during the opening month will no doubt be the midfielder’s goal against Newcastle United at Molineux on August 28 which helped the gold and black to a 1-1 draw.

He beat off competition from defensive duo Nathan Collins and Max Kilman who finished second and third respectively after a superb run of form which has seen the gold and black boast the best defensive record in the Premier League.

Neves recently revealed that he was close to a move away from Molineux this summer but is still ‘200% committed’ to the club and if there was any doubts surrounding that comment - he has emphatically proved it to be true over the month of August.
