Wolves’ start to the 2024/25 Premier League season has been far from positive as they currently sit bottom of the table with just three points on the board. Gary O’Neil’s side and Ipswich Town are the only clubs in England’s top flight still waiting to bank their first win of the campaign.

If Wolves’ struggles continue, they run a high risk of losing their most important players as the battle with relegation starts to become more serious.
Wolves star of ‘major interest’ to Liverpool and Chelsea
Wolves have a roster packed full of top talent and according to Molineux News, one player in particular is attracting ‘major interest’ from rival clubs. Rayan Ait-Nouri is reportedly on the radar of both Liverpool and Chelsea, as well as clubs around Europe.

Ait-Nouri was linked with rival clubs over the summer but remained at Molineux. He first joined the club back in 2020 on loan from Angers, before Wolves opted to make his stay permanent. Over the years, Ait-Nouri has received plenty of praise. Not long after his arrival, journalist Tim Spiers described him as ‘phenomenal’ and he has continued to impress since his early days.
Pundit airs Wolves relegation concerns
Despite coming close to big results in their latest fixtures with consecutive 2-2 draws, Wolves still have a tough hill to climb to get out of the relegation zone. O’Neil’s side dropped points to both Brighton and Crystal Palace where they may have been backed to win but they have some other interesting fixtures coming up to make up some ground.

Hide AdtalkSPORT pundit Tony Cascarino has looked ahead to their upcoming row of games, which will see them take on Southampton, Fulham, Bournemouth, Everton, West Ham, Ipswich Town, and Leicester City before Christmas Day. The former Millwall and Chelsea star has issued a warning to the club that if they don’t pick up valuable points from these next seven games, there is a huge risk of their relegation at the end of the season.
“If they don't get anything out of that period you just mentioned, of any note, they'll go down. That is for sure. They haven't got enough in there to stay up I don't think,” Cascarino said (via GiveMeSport). “They're going to have to go and get, maybe 8-10 points from those four games to give themselves a chance. Otherwise they're going to be really in trouble all season and very likely go down.”
