Wolverhampton Wanderers are back in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon as they head out on the road to face Manchester United at Old Trafford. The pressure is now off for Wolves as their win over Aston Villa last weekend ensured survival from relegation, meaning they can face the Red Devils with great freedom.

Julen Lopetegui’s side are in far better shape than United when it comes to the early team news, as just two players are confirmed out, while one is a doubt. Chiquinho and Sasa Kalajdzic (both knee) will be sidelined for the rest of the season, while Boubacar Traore (lack of fitness) is in contention.

Erik ten Hag, on the other hand, will definitely have to make do without at least seven of his squad members. Lisandro Martinez (ankle), Donny van de Beek (knee) and Phil Jones (also knee) are all expected to miss this weekend, as well as the rest of the season.

Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay are both moving closer to returns for the Red Devils but the match against Wolves comes too soon. Tom Heaton has been out since before the international break and remains a big doubt. Finally, United are still deciding the next course of action with Mason Greenwood.

Ruled out: Martinez, van de Beek, Jones, Varane, McTominay, Greenwood (MUN); Chiquinho, Kalajdzic (WOL).

Doubts: Heaton (MUN); B. Traore (WOL).
