It was another thrilling weekend of action in the Premier League with some shock results at both ends of the table. From six, seven and eight-goal thrillers on Monday to a surprise 1-0 win for West Ham United over Manchester United, the round of fixtures had plenty of excitement.
Saturday’s matches saw Chelsea beat AFC Bournemouth 3-1, Manchester City see off Sam Allardyce’s Leeds United 2-1, Wolverhampton Wanderers win 1-0 against local rivals Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur beat Crystal Palace 1-0, and Liverpool manage a narrow win over Brentford by the same scoreline.
On Sunday, the Hammers all but secured survival with their win over the Red Devils and Arsenal just about stayed in the title race as they beat Newcastle United 2-0 away from home. Monday had a thrilling 5-3 victory for Fulham over Leicester City, a shock 5-1 defeat for Brighton & Hove Albion against Everton, and a vital 4-3 win for Nottingham Forest over Southampton.
